BalanceThis is a photo of two trees in the quad. I was hoping to create the principle of balance by capturing the symmetry of the two trees side by side. ProportionIn this photo I tried to create the principle of proportion by relaying the differences in height between the two guys. RhythmI wasn't exactly sure how to create this principle, but for it I attempted to capture of movement of this group of kids walking back to class. EmphasisHere I used Reilly's eye as the emphasis in my photo. I tried to angle her and capture her eyes in a way that the sun would make her eye appear more vibrant. HarmonyHere I attempted to create the principle of harmony through the sky and clouds blending together to become one. I feel as if the mix together in a way they compliment each other. VarietyIn this photo Jhason was laying down in the middle of the street which is often not seen. I hoped to use this abnormal concept to create the principle of variety. UnityI was not very sure how to capture the principle of harmony. I attempted to do this by bring all the different types of cars and the background of the stadium all together in a sense to show the principle of unity.

LineThis is a photo of the lines in the cement at Rancho. The main element in this photograph is a line. I believe this captures that aspect of line because this split in the ground is clearly one the main focus of this photograph. ColorThis is a picture of one of the murals on the side of the PAC. The biggest emphasis in this photo would be the colors ranges from purples and pinks, to the bright contrast of green. ShapeThe element I was hoping to capture here would be shape. I tried to focus in on a tire of a car to capture its round shape. I believed the black and white effect would make it stand out more as well as applying vignette. FormThe element I attempted to capture here is form. I actually struggled a lot on this due to the lack of ideas and surroundings. Ultimately I tried to create this three dimensional aspect within the football field and the road above it. TextureThe element I was trying to capture is texture. I used a picture of track to create the feeling of roughness of the track. SpaceIn this image I tired to capture the element of space. I used my shoes and the football field to establish this sense. I believe I created a feeling of depth through using my shoes as the main focus, but also having the background emphasized. ValueI tried to create the element of value through capturing a shadow on the concrete. I made the photo black and white so the colors would ultimately blend to be different shades of a grey.

I took these photos using shutter speed priority. I had to adjust the ISO due to the photographs coming out dark. The weather was also a small negative factor on our pictures. What I learned about fast shutter speed is that, since multiple shots are taken in one instant, there is a high possibility you have capture what you wanted to. I also learned what to do when the photos turn out dark. Other things I could possibly use for fast shutter speed are fast moving objects such as cars or animals,
In my photo I was hoping to convey the importance of respecting one’s future. The book is in red to exhibit the potential future of one’s own self academically. By taking initiative of one’s current and future lifestyle, you are proving to yourself that college or even any path of life is open to you if you put in the work and effort needed. A good amount of kids believe that college or any prosperous future isn’t set out for them, but they need to know it is. They need to have the respect and belief in themselves that a future is possible. By respecting their future, they can succeed.
People normally perceive respecting oneself as feeling confident in one ‘s own skin, but it’s more than that. Respecting yourself means to believe that you can challenge yourself to be successful in anything. Everyone’s future is unknown, but by working hard, you can create a future that is prosperous and fulfilling. Education is just one of those ways. Respect your education, because everyone deserves to believe that can succeed. 1. I took these pictures on a tripod, in a dark room , using manual focus. I had my partner use the MyLightPaint app and he drew designs using the various lights. 2. Struggles I had with the light painting were that I wasn't sure about getting the timing right to capture a certain design. My partner also did only certain designs instead of dong creative things, he stuck to the basics.
