1. To change the camera to shutter priority make sure your control dial is on s. To change the different shutter speeds, use the back dial. Turn it left to decrease it and right to increase it.
2. According to what I saw, when shutter speed changes, a picture will become more in focus. When there are more fractions of a second the focus is more detailed, while when there is less such as 1/3, the photo is less in focus. IT is easier to capture a picture of someone jumping when the shutter speed is more fractions of a second such as 1/1000. 3. You would want to use shutter speed when trying to capture an object or action that happens fast. Actions such as running, jumping, etc.. Objects that are moving fast such as trains, cars, etc...
