Education is something that many kids take for granted. If you look around the world, many people are deprived from getting their education. I believe as citizens in the U.S. we are given an opportunity to further our future no matter what your race, gender, financial status, etc... Kids are given the opportunity, but it is up to them to be successful. In order to succeed, students must put in the time as well as attitude into their studies. Education is for all, so students should work to prove this.

What I learned about portraiture from being at the duck pond, is that you have to consider a background that will compliment the person as well as have a place where there is not too much lighting. You should make the model appear as comfortable as possible. I used some of the poses off the sheet given to us, but due to the ground being wet, I also had my model improvise some of her poses. We used the reflector when we are in places that had more shade than others, and to also make the model appear more "brighter" and less washed out. To retouch the photo, I didn't do too much because Reilly is already beautiful, but I touched up a few blemishes using photoshop to make her skin look more smooth. Portraiture photographers, are often hired by magazines, model photo shoots, schools, media, etc... Based off research portrait photographers' salaries can vary based off location. The hour pay can average from $10 to $25. However with circumstances like celebrity photo shoots this can vary.
1. For my food I brought in muffins and coffee from Starbucks. I brought the props of a metal mug , a fork, and I used Mrs. Moncure's blue tablecloth. I also picked some flowers from a bush in school.
2.I learned from the video that the background has a big effect on the outcome of your picture, you want the background to coincide with your food subject, some photographers use different ingredients as a substitute, and props can help make a photo more visually pleasing. 3. To make my photograph similar, I brought in the flowers so that the muffin and the mug wouldn't make the picture bland. By adding the flower it makes the picture more vibrant. I also positioned my food in a way that other photographers do. 4. I learned that in the case of food photography too much light can drown your picture out, making the food not look pleasing. 5. Food industries such as McDonald's, restaurants, and chef magazines, are all careers that involve food photography. 6. I believe I succeeded in creating an image in which all subjects of the photo blended together to one. The coffee, the muffin, the fork, and flowers all appeared to fit together in a way in which neither over powered the other. 1. What steps you did in Photoshop to create your project- be clear and concise and don't copy/paste from this website/ use your own words!
I took pictures in wihch my letters of my name were formed. Then i cropped them all to the way I wanted and put them all in the black and white effect. After that I put them into the template and sized them down. 2. What steps were you unclear on and struggled with (both in taking photos and in Photoshop) I was unsure on how to get rid of the extra white separating the photos. 3. What steps you were proud of figuring out I liked figuring out how to photograph the letter A in a unique way. 4. What you like best about your artwork I liked best the way my A turned out because it was the hardest letter to photograph. 5. What you think you could have improved about your artwork I could have improved my L and E because the aren't exactly evident in what they are. In this image I put my face onto the olympic runner Felix. I've always liked running, hence being in cross country, so I hope to be in great shape. Maybe not Olympic award winning shape, but healthy enough that I can still move around. I want to be able to go on runs when I'm in my 7os. Being in great shape will allow me to live a healthier life and a happier life. For my future career, I want to be in the dental business. I haven't decided if I want to be an actual dentist or a dental hygienist, but the dentistry business for sure! Being a dentist will allow me to make good money, which will result in nice cars and a nice house. Plus I will be able to make other people have beautiful smiles! I will be giving back to the environment and doing something I enjoy. Here I put my face onto the body of Priyanka Chopra, who is an Indian actress in the TV show Quantico. This show is one of my favorite shows, and I've always admired Chopra, so I decided to use her. It might not be the best photoshop, but it conveys how she always is smiling which I like about her.
I took these photos at the duck pond. I used the different exposures of -1.0, -.50. 0.0, 0.5, and 1.0. In photoshop I would upload them so they would all settle on one another to create one image altogehter. I would then add the effect of being extra saturated to make the image more vibrant.
These are the five images I took to replicate the essence of Lynn Goldsmith. The first two are the ones I tried to replicate and the last 3 are the ones in which I tried to emulate her style.
BalanceThis is a photo of two trees in the quad. I was hoping to create the principle of balance by capturing the symmetry of the two trees side by side. ProportionIn this photo I tried to create the principle of proportion by relaying the differences in height between the two guys. RhythmI wasn't exactly sure how to create this principle, but for it I attempted to capture of movement of this group of kids walking back to class. EmphasisHere I used Reilly's eye as the emphasis in my photo. I tried to angle her and capture her eyes in a way that the sun would make her eye appear more vibrant. HarmonyHere I attempted to create the principle of harmony through the sky and clouds blending together to become one. I feel as if the mix together in a way they compliment each other. VarietyIn this photo Jhason was laying down in the middle of the street which is often not seen. I hoped to use this abnormal concept to create the principle of variety. UnityI was not very sure how to capture the principle of harmony. I attempted to do this by bring all the different types of cars and the background of the stadium all together in a sense to show the principle of unity.
LineThis is a photo of the lines in the cement at Rancho. The main element in this photograph is a line. I believe this captures that aspect of line because this split in the ground is clearly one the main focus of this photograph. ColorThis is a picture of one of the murals on the side of the PAC. The biggest emphasis in this photo would be the colors ranges from purples and pinks, to the bright contrast of green. ShapeThe element I was hoping to capture here would be shape. I tried to focus in on a tire of a car to capture its round shape. I believed the black and white effect would make it stand out more as well as applying vignette. FormThe element I attempted to capture here is form. I actually struggled a lot on this due to the lack of ideas and surroundings. Ultimately I tried to create this three dimensional aspect within the football field and the road above it. TextureThe element I was trying to capture is texture. I used a picture of track to create the feeling of roughness of the track. SpaceIn this image I tired to capture the element of space. I used my shoes and the football field to establish this sense. I believe I created a feeling of depth through using my shoes as the main focus, but also having the background emphasized. ValueI tried to create the element of value through capturing a shadow on the concrete. I made the photo black and white so the colors would ultimately blend to be different shades of a grey.
